Just some recent SOTW posts. I'm working on coloring the big guy just for fun. The fishman would be fun to render as well. I'll post the colors as soon as they get done!

Xenosimias
Here's a little fella I call Xenosimias. It's an alien monkey of sorts. Elements of marmosets, cicadas, flies, and Drepanosaurs went into its design.

Project Offset Creatures
Hey guys,
I wanted my first post to be something original but I ended up posting old designs I did for Project Offset. You probably seen them already. It's just been so long since Davi invited me and I haven't had a chance to post.
Great work from everyone, very inspiring :)

Zenoth, the alien from Jupiter
Hi everyone,
this is my latest personal project, I know that almost everything has already been said about aliens, but I just wanted to share my personal view about them, or about one of them. When we think about aliens we tend to ask ourselves "Are they good? Or evil?" but I just wanted to shift my view from this clichè, I imagined them as creatures, nor good or bad, just living beings. As a predator like a lion, it's not bad because it kills other animals to eat, it's just its DNA. This is the same for Zenoth, he comes to Earth to eliminate humans because they need our planet. Just for this reason. No chances to communicate with him, he just doesn't care about us as we doesn't care about ants. He's not curious, he doesn't feel anything, his mission is to eliminate us. And he's not bad because he kills humans, and there's no reason to eliminate us because of something wrong we did as human beings. We're just in the wrong place
Think about earth as an old garage that we need, we just clean it, clean out the spider webs, sweep away little animals and we have our cleaned garage. Do we feel bad about those little creatures? Are we evil?
Hope you like it!
Bye
Fede

Invader
I was on the computer yesterday when suddenly the idea came to me to paint an old school, pulp magazine, raygun-toting, bug-squid hybrid alien invader. So, I sat down and painted this guy in virtually one sitting. I think it's the best creature rendering I've yet done, and I'm pretty happy with it. I even gave him some halfway decent-looking technological devices, as well.
As far as creature concepts go, this is a highly intelligent alien species native to a low-gravity world with a warm, humid climate and at atmosphere rich in carbon dioxide and chlorine. It evolved from mud-dwelling ancestors that looked somewhat like crosses between sandcrabs and cuttlefish. It is omnivorous, with three sets of powerful mandibles to process its foot. Its eyes are set atop dark stocks on the upper part of its carapace, while its ears are those crater-shaped structures near the mandibles. Its olfactory and respiratory organs are located on the back of its carapace, and in this image are covered by a gas filtering apparatus designed for traveling in an alien atmosphere. The three pairs of limbs can function as either arms or legs, interchangeably. Though these aliens can communicate by sound, they prefer to communicate by sight. Their wide, black eyestalks can shift to any color in the visible spectrum, and this ability has evolved into a highly complex visual language. The device attached to the eyestalk of the individual pictured is a communicator: it allows information in this visual language to be sent long-distance and fed directly to the aliens' visual centers. They can also communicate through the use of chemicals and pheremones.
I wrote a much, much longer natural history/short story about these creatures in my Deviantart gallery: link. I enjoy writing, as you may be able to tell.
Also, some alternate color schemes.

Happy Holidays!
Think of this little guy dancing around your car covering it in ice...
Makes cleaning your car off in subzero temperatures much more fun! Right?
RIGHT?
But to be honest I actually did this guy last year, I got to busy this year to do a Holiday card...

Bithkin - Imp
The Final Imp card I produced for Warstorm. Bobenlik, Badial, Bevus and Bithkin. These little guys were all a lot of fun. I went back to most of these cards to fix and adjust the value levels, add some details and put a little extra time into some where it was needed. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas guys n gals.

Yauba: Demon - Bobenlik: Imp
Here is another Demon from Warstorm.
This guy was left completely open and although I hadn't seen Hellboy 2 yet, there was definitely some influence from the Death Angel in that film. I just changed a few things and added some minor touch ups tonight from the original used in the game. I had fun with the idea that the demon really had no ears, eyes, nose, or mouth though it's slightly indicated. I think this guy was one of my favorites from all the creatures I painted.

Warstorm Creatures: Challenge Games
Well, I'll start by explaining that these are done for an online CCG game called Warstorm. They just released a load of new cards for their latest expansion. The game itself is a free based online game that anyone can register and play without paying a cent, and it's addicting.
If you want to check it out go here: Warstorm.com
Here are three of approx 26 cards I've done. I think around 12 or 13 of them I'll be able to post here concerning their level of "creature" based designs. So here are the first few, more to come.
Agmog: Fire Demon
Gishagul: Half Giant - Orc Breed
Auzubaal: Death Demon
A lot of the cards I produced were New Hero cards and some new infantry. There are now Imps, Demons, new Undead, new Orc and new Human cards too. Each of these were painted in approx. 5 hours, so I finished the painted portion in a day sometimes 2 a day. The details will be seen at an aspect ratio of around 216 x 300 pixels and much smaller when you actually play the game.

Snapper
After a long delay, here's a little something from me. I've had the idea of a creature with enormous jointed jaws for a while now, so last night I just sat down and painted it. I painted pretty much the entire thing in one sitting, which is unusual for me. All I did today was tighten up a few details, mess with the contrast, and colorize it. I was strongly influenced by the work of Rich Doble and by some images of creature design demonstrations from the ConceptArt.org New Zealand workshop when creating this.
As far as the concept goes, this is basically just an alien predator with big jointed jaws. The outermost teeth are specialized for grasping prey, while the inner teeth slice prey into small pieces. The three dots on the bump on the side of its head are its eyes, while the orifice to the front of that is its nostril/heat sensing organ. Bristles on its jaws and on its back detect airborne vibrations, while its sensitive feet detect ground vibrations; it has no true ears. It has no real toes, just rough pads for traction, and uses the single claws of its forelimbs to hold onto prey and to climb over obstacles. Being more of a broad, barrel-chested creature, it does not chase down its prey, but rather lies in wait before launching a short, explosive lunge. Though rarely exceeding seventy pounds in size, due to the sheer size of its mouth and its habit of bursting out of the underbrush unexpectedly visitors to the planet Naraka should consider the snapper extremely dangerous. The snapper reproduces ovipariously, laying eggs in the roots of trees (or the Narakan equivalent of trees). The young exist as wood-boring larvae for a time, before emerging and constructing a cocoon on the outside surface of the tree. Months later, a small but fully-developed snapper bursts out, ready to terrorize the general area.
I'll probably update this image later with some diagrams of its life cycle, its mouth movements, and its scale next to a human.

Kappa
The Kappa is a Japanese water spirit, part frog and part turtle. It is given great strength by the liquid it carries in its bowl-like skull. If you should meet a Kappa you must bow to it. Being very polite, the Kappa will return your bow, thus spilling the the liquid from its head and enabling you to make your escape whilst it is still weak.
Thanks for looking!

Murgasi Sketch
A character design sketch for Shard Studios. They're making an RPG with anthropomorphic animal beings. If your wondering the winged beings like this bat lady surgically cut their wings so they can wear and use things like belts/straps etc. Kinda like body modification but.. for practical purposes.
I'll post more on this project as they get done!

Sad Dragon....
Well, The Hulk porn well was running dry, so I returned to that old standby, the Dragon.
Can't go wrong drawing Dragons really. Like retarded moon Dinosaurs with wings, they're cool no matter how you look at it.
Ok, so this one doesn't have wings, gimme a break already.
This was for Daniel Maghen again and will be published in Volume 3 of their L'univers des Dragons Tome.
